Host Families

During half-term holidays and exeat weekends many students choose to stay in the UK with one of our host families rather than return home.

Guardians UK host families are located across the south of England and Wales in cities, towns, villages and the countryside. Host families may have young or school age children of their own, they may be an older couple whose children have left home or they may live by themselves. However, they all enjoy sharing their home with young people and the enrichment that brings.

Our host families have been fully checked and trained by us and we have built up strong relationships with them so they feel confident providing a home from home for your child. Whilst your child is staying with a host family we are available for support and advice if needed.

Find out more by reading our Host Family Handbook and if you interested in becoming a Guardians UK host family please get in touch; we would love to hear from you.

Don’t just take our word for it…

“I like the way I can access someone during the stay. Often I have sent emails etc to give information or ask questions. This is an added bonus to feel there is this backup. I also like the friendly staff. It has become increasingly professional.”

“I think it’s a very good support for international students’ parents. I know that my child is not alone and there is always somebody to help and care. This fact makes me feel more confident while my daughter is studying in GB, the country with another culture, traditions, language etc.”

Parent

“You are doing great job, guys. It makes parent life easier.”

“Have always been happy with the way Helen has dealt with us as a couple who host for Guardians UK.”
